MEET SARAH

A craft passed forward

Sarah learned shoemaking as a child from a woman who supported her and helped take care of her.

“What Sarah once received, she is now passing on.”

Today Sarah is training BlessHeart and another young woman in the craft. Together they are building a small, growing footwear business focused on better products, stronger skills and lasting quality.

From learning a craft to passing it on.

Sarah learned shoemaking when she was young from a woman who supported her and helped care for her. Today Sarah is building TYOYT and passing the craft on by training BlessHeart and another young woman.

TYOYT is growing step by step: improving designs, strengthening production and investing in practical equipment as the business learns from customers in Nigeria.

Building better production

Handwork remains at the heart of TYOYT, while simple machinery can make repeated tasks faster and more consistent. This helps the team increase capacity without losing the character of handmade footwear.
